• Activity Level: If you engage in activities that involve a lot of movement, such as swimming or vigorous exercise, the fairy hair may not last as long because it can become dislodged more easily.

What it comes down to is that it will stay in your hair until that hair naturally falls out. Children tend to shed more quickly/frequently than adults, so theirs may not last as long. Children under 8 can certainly have fairy hair, but be aware that it may only last days to a week.

You can do all of those things with fairy hair! You can use a curling iron or flat iron up to 350 degrees. The feathers are quite durable and can be blow dried, flat ironed, and curled along with your own hair. The feathers can not be colored, bleached, or permed.

Absolutely! We love our curly girls and guys! Fairy hair can be applied to curly and African American hair, just as it can be applied to hair of any texture or type. The ease of applying fairy hair may depend on the specific texture of the individual’s hair. It may be easier to attach fairy hair to straightened or loosely curled hair than to tightly coiled or kinky hair, but no worries. We can make it work!

Yes! If you’re getting fairy hair on a wig, it works best for you to wear it while the fairy works her magic.

Not at all! The fairies are very gentle and work quickly.

Fairies work their magic quickly, but the length of time needed depends on how many strands you purchase, how many feather extensions you want, and how complex your glitter tattoo is. When you book your Sparkle Session, you will see that your fairy has set aside an adequate amount of time for your desired service. Generally, you can expect:

• 15 minutes for 10 strands and 30 minutes for up to 20-30 strands
• 15 minutes for two feather extensions and 30 minutes for three to four extensions
• 15-30 minutes for a glitter tattoo or tattoo enhancement, depending on complexity

Just about every color you can think of, including holographic and rainbow strands.

That depends on the look you are going for. If you are a brunette looking for some subtle shine, a sparkly chocolatey color would be sublime. If you are going for more of a “wow” factor, the sky is the limit! It’s totally up to you, but our professional fairy will be on hand to help you decide.

Yes, but be aware that because of quick-moving hair cycle in younger children, it may not last as long as on an adult. We welcome children who are able to:

• Verbally consent to getting fairy hair, feather extensions, or glitter tattoos
• Sit relatively still during application

Glitter tattoos are applied with adhesive vinyl stencils, body glue, and glitter color of your choice. They are sprayed with a clear coating to help them last longer. They will typically last from a couple of days to a week, depending on their exposure to soap, rubbing, and to a lesser extent, water. The materials are safe to use on skin, but if you have concerns, please discuss these with your fairy.

For fairy hair or feather extensions, please arrive at your appointment with clean, well-brushed hair, with no leave-in conditioner or styling products. This helps eliminate as many loose hairs as possible ahead of time and ensures that your fairy can lock the tie securely. For glitter tattoos, your skin should be clean and dry, and any tattoos fully healed. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes ahead of your appointment to choose colors. This way, your fairy can concentrate on getting you sparkly and stay on time for other clients.

Prices vary according to the service.

• Fairy hair: It is just $2 per tie (which hangs down as 2 strands) on straight hair, curly hair, and in beards. We sell them in packages of 10, 20, 30 and so on. For every 10 you buy, you get to choose a color. Most people get 20 to 30 strands and 2 colors. We always throw in a few extra ties in case one or two of your hairs happen to be at the shedding stage. For locs, it is $5 per 2 locs, which includes a colorful cuff.
• Feather extensions: A 2 feather extension is $15, a 3 feather extension is $22, and a 4 feather extension is $28. This means that the feathers are all in one extension bead. Single feather extensions are $8 each. If you want 2 single feather extensions, they are priced per extension. So 2 single feather extensions in 2 separate beads would be $16. Layered feather extensions are $15 and are made by choosing up to 5 short feathers. The new enchanted extensions are made with regular feathers or layered small feathers and fairy hair. They are $15 for 1 regular feather and fairy hair, $20 for 2 regular feathers and fairy hair, and $25 for 3 regular feathers and fairy hair. The enchanted layered feather extensions are $20.
• Glitter tattoos: $5-$15 depending on the size. Tattoo enhancements start at $10.
